| Hudson Building Supplies
Five generations of Hudsons have been involved in the industry since the company began in 1846, just six years after the transportation of convicts to New South Wales had ceased. A. Hudson Pty Ltd was held by the family until the mid 1980's when the Harrison &- Crosfield plc Group purchased their operations along with a number of other retail merchant businesses.
In 1994 a new public company, Hudson Timber and Hardware, was incorporated. This new company continued to trade until 2003 when a Management buy out of the Hardware side of the business saw the creation of Hudson Building Supplies.
